What Does a Rigger Do?
Rigging refers to the equipment used with the rope, such as hooks, elastics, tight rope clamps, collars, shackles, etc., collectively referred to as rigging, and there are also ropes belonging to the rigging. There are two main types of rigging: metal rigging and synthetic fiber rigging. Includes general terms for masts, masts (mast beams), rigs (sail feet), girder and all cables, chains, and appliances used to operate these. [1]
- China's rigging industry has developed rapidly in recent years, but the technical standards are very imperfect, and domestic enterprises are free to produce, or even reduce it without authorization.
- Shackle
- Shackles are detachable ring-shaped metal members used to connect various eyelets, chains and other rigging. The shackle consists of a body and a cross bolt. Some horizontal bolts have threads, and some have pins. There are two types of straight shackles and round shackles. Shackles are often named according to the place they are used, such as anchor shackles used on anchor rods; anchor chain shackles used on anchor chains; and rope head shackles used on rope ends. [3]

- 11. When nylon is wet, the strength loss can reach 15%
- 12. If the rigging is likely to be contaminated by chemicals or used at high temperatures, the supplier should be consulted for advice. [3]
