Gulf State University offers student merit scholarships for day students. Gulf State University merit scholarships are based on merit, but all scholarship decisions are independent of financial needs. These scholarships do not need to be applied separately.
Scholarships are limited, please apply early.
Merit scholarships will not change based on GPA adjustments after admission decisions.
The federal and state governments prepare many types of scholarships for new students. Specific information and application procedures can be obtained from the bursary office. Students may consider applying for federal and state government funding assistance programs that are free of charge.

The amount of Federal Stafford Direct Loan varies according to student needs and grade levels. The level depends on the credits earned, including transfer credits.
In addition to university merit scholarships and scholarships, institutional scholarships require at least 9 credits for full-time students
University merit scholarships and academic achievement scholarships require full-time students to register for at least 3 credits.
Federal loan requirements require each student to register for at least 6 credits.
