What Is an Architect License?
The qualification certificate for architects is divided into first-level registration and second-level registration. Registered architects refer to those who pass the unified national examination and are registered in accordance with the law. "Certificate of Architect", a person performing registered architect operations in a construction unit.
Architect qualification
In September 1994, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Personnel issued the Notice of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Personnel on Establishing the Registered Architect System and Related Work (Jiangjian [1994] No. 598), and decided to implement the registered architect system in China, and The National Registered Architects Management Committee was established. Application conditions
(1) Those who meet one of the following conditions may apply to take the first-tier registered architect examination:
1. A master's degree in architecture or a doctorate in engineering of a similar specialty, and engaged in architectural design or related business for more than two years;
2. Obtain a bachelor's degree in architecture or a master's degree in engineering from a similar specialty and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than three years;
3. Have a bachelor's degree in architecture industry and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 5 years, or have a bachelor's degree in architecture similar major and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 7 years;
4. Obtain a technical title of senior engineer and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 3 years, or obtain an engineer technical title and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 5 years;
5. Those who do not have the conditions stipulated in the first four items, but have outstanding design achievements, and have been certified by the National Registered Architects Management Committee to reach the professional level stipulated in the first four items.
(2) Those who meet one of the following conditions may apply to take the second-tier registered architect examination:
1. Have a bachelor's degree or above in architecture or a similar major and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 2 years;
2. Have a college degree or above in architectural design technology or a similar major, and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 3 years;
3. Have a 4-year technical secondary school diploma in architectural design technology and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 5 years;
4. A graduate of a technical secondary school with a similar major in architectural design technology, and engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 7 years;
5. Obtain the technical title of assistant engineer or above, and have been engaged in architectural design or related business for more than 3 years.

Remark
1. According to the Implementation Rules of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Registered Architects (Decree No. 167 of the Ministry of Construction), Environmental Art has been added to the specialty of this watch.
2. Those who do not possess the academic qualifications specified in the above table should apply for engineering design work for at least 15 years and meet one of the following requirements to register for the first-level registered architect examination:
(1) As the person in charge of the project or the person in charge of the project, complete the four full-process designs of civil construction design level three and above projects, of which no less than one level two projects.
(2) As the project leader or professional leader, complete the four full-process designs of other types of architectural design medium and above projects, including no less than one large-scale project or special construction project.
Note: For the classification of civilian building design and other types of building design, please refer to the Notice on Issuing the Charge Standards for Engineering Survey and Engineering Design ([1992] Price Fee No. 375) and "Engineering" Engineering grade division in Design Charge Standards (Revised 1992).

Architect qualification exam subjects
(I) Examination subjects for Grade I registered architects

Subject examinations are valid for eight years.
(2) Subjects for the second-level architect qualification examination:
1. Site and building design (drawing);
2.Building structure and detailed drawing (drawing);
3.Building structure and equipment;
4. Laws, regulations, economy and construction.
Subject examinations are valid for four years.

Architect qualification certificate
After passing the first-level registered architect examination and passing all the subjects within the validity period, the National Registered Architects Administration Committee shall issue and issue the first-level registered architect practice qualification certificate jointly used by the State Council's construction authority and the personnel department.
After passing the Level 2 Registered Architect Examination and passing all the subjects within the validity period, the Registered Architects Administration Committee of the province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government shall issue and issue the Level 2 Registered Architect Practice Qualification Certificate jointly used by the State Council s Construction Authority and the Personnel Authority.
The examination results will be announced within ninety days from the date of the examination; the practice qualification certificate will be issued within thirty days from the date of the examination results.
