What is Leed or?
The Council for Green of the USA (USGBC) is an international organization devoted to the development and improvement of techniques and performance of green buildings. The USGBC management program in the field of energy and environmental design (LEED) is one of the most widely used systems in the world to measure the impact of the environmental impact of the building project together with the operational performance of the building. There are several different types of LeED programs, most of which focus on the entire scope of the project, from a place selected to mechanical building systems. Unlike other LeED programs, the Commercial Interiors (CI) program is designed for individual tenants in space. Leed CI gives tenants control of the green building only in its space and does not require the rest of the building to follow the program. The project earns points on the basis of the proposal and construction is solved by many different areas of impact on the environment. To obtain certification, the project must earn 40 to 49 points. Earning 50 to 59 points will get the project "silver" while these PRojekt earning 60 to 79 points will gain the status of "gold". Projects that earn more than 80 points within the Leed CI program will receive a "platinum" rating, which is the highest possible certification for the green building.
There are many different ways to earn points under Leed CI, and each method is categorized under one of the six different headlines. Within the category of "sustainable sites", projects can earn points for adding bicycle racks for commuting or encouraging passengers to use public transport instead of cars. In the “Water efficiency” category, projects earn points by reducing water consumption through low -flow accessories. Buildings can also earn a large number of points in the “Energy and atmosphere” category, which is aimed at improving the efficiency of energy, heating and cooling systems.
within the category 'Materials and resources "Projects earn points for using recycled or sustainable materials. The" internal air quality "category focuses on improving ventilation to achieve a safe level of internal air quality. Projects can also earn points in this category using low -emitting colors, carpets and adhesives to help reduce toxic fumes and gases. Finally, some projects earn bonus points in the category called "Innovation and Design". This allows the owners and designers of buildings to develop and integrate their own unique methods to make the project “green”.
buildings must register with USGBC to be eligible for the Leed CI program. As the project proceeds, it must submit records to the USGBC inspection board to support each possible Credit or point. USGBC evaluates every point to determine which level of certification will be assigned.
those employed in design and construction stores may want to accreditation under the LeED programWHOSE. Individuals must pass an examination via USGBC to obtain accreditation. Once the individual has been accredited, it will have all the skills and training necessary to conduct the project through the certification process. While accreditation is voluntary, many employees find that they can improve their job prospects and often help to facilitate the difficult process of certification.
