What is MLA formatting?
MLA formatting is a method of formatting written documents such as manuscripts and academic work. The format was established by the Association of Modern Language and is commonly used for works written in English in humanities. MLA formatting has specific rules for referring to work and creating a bibliography or a cited page. It also controls the text style on the page. The formatting rules change over time.
In general, the formatting of the MLA requires the use of paper size in the United States, which is 8 1/2 x 11 inches (21 x 28 cm). The paper should be white and the ink should be black. Usually the paper should be one -sided.
MLA formatting requires the author's name on the first line of the first page of the paper. The name of the professor should be entered on the line called the author.
