What Are the Different Ways to Give Attention?

Attention mode theory refers to the theory about the structure of attention, individual differences and its relationship with operation. American sports psychologist Niddfer proposed in 1976 based on previous research. It is thought that the structure of attention includes at least two dimensions, namely the range of attention and the direction of attention. The former refers to the number of stimuli that one can notice in the stimulus domain, from very narrow to very broad. Broad attention can get a lot of information at the same time, while narrow attention filters out a lot of information. The latter refers to whether human attention is directed to external stimuli (such as from the environment) or internal stimuli (such as thinking activities and feelings). [1]
