What Causes a Burst Eardrum?
Explosiveness is the property that materials used in powder metallurgy production can cause explosion in some cases.
- In powder metallurgy technology, there are two main forms of explosion caused by the explosiveness of materials:
- (1)
- Generally, a large number of metal powders will melt when they are locally heated, or if there is sufficient air, local combustion will occur. However, if the metal powder is in the presence of air
- There are dangers caused by equipment. The accumulation of dust near heating, exhaust and air conditioning equipment is prone to high temperatures in these places. The equipment that generates the dust cloud is too close to other equipment in the production process, which is conducive to the expansion of the explosion. Dust concentration in dust collection systems (especially piping systems) can easily reach dangerous levels. These hazards can be eliminated by sealing the equipment to prevent leakage and equipping dust collectors. Equipment cleaning and maintenance plans should be sufficient to prevent dust buildup.
- Although no more dangers can occur with these precautions, it is important to design a dust collection system to safely handle special metal powders. For example, in the production of aluminum, water vapor and water must not be accumulated in the collected aluminum dust, otherwise spontaneous combustion may occur in the dust collection room. In addition, compressed air nozzles must not be used to remove the accumulated dust, as this will only generate more dust clouds, so only explosion-proof air circulation systems can be used for cleaning operations.
