What is a calcified granuloma?

Calcified granuloma is the weight in the tissues of a particular organ, usually in the lungs that have been calcified. Calcification concerns the accumulation of calcium in the fabric, similar to what is happening inside the bones. When this happens inside the granuloma, it becomes hard and develops the same density as the bone. Granulomas are benign and usually do not cause any health problems. They are generally caused by fungal infection.

The most common area for calcified granuloma is on the lungs, although they can also occur in other organs such as kidney or liver. In general, they are not harmful and usually do not cause any symptoms. Most patients find that they have them for other unrelated condition during the examination. Although benign, they can sometimes remind cancer on the X -ray, unless calcification becomes serious.

In most cases of calcified granuloma is an initial cause of fungal infection. Many patients never realize that they are -inferior but tissues in the lungs or other organsIt and as a result form granulomas. These areas of infection are calculated over time unless they are removed and if they do not leave alone. In general, this does not cause any complications.

Most patients may not be removed calcified granuloma, although it differs depending on the position and size of the mass. Very large can be removed or those that occur in certain places such as the neck. They usually do not cause pain, but this may vary depending on the person and the area where it is. Many times, however, they are removed when they are visible on the X -ray to ensure that they are not cancer.

Because with calcified granulomas usually there are no symptoms, it may be difficult to determine if someone has them. If it causes symptoms, it will generally depend on the placement of matter and where it is the size. Those who are in the lungs can sometimes cause dyspnoea, chest difficulty, cough andSometimes a bloody cough will be present. This usually leads to further investigation. If calcification is serious, it is often seen that the area is more granuloma than cancer, but if not, a biopsy can be performed.
