What is a foam swab?

Foam swab is a hand -made device consisting of a short handle connected to a small foam tip. Most foam swabs are made of mesh polyurethane foam material that is hydrophilic or water resistant. The tip of the tampon can be rectangular or rounded, depending on the intended use. Sterile foam swabs are individually packed for single use and are generally without latex. Foam swabs can be used for cleaning wounds, collecting biological samples and cleaning fine electronics.
