What is a ganglion foot cyst?

Cyst of ganglion legs is a swollen pocket of tissue composed of a thick gel liquid, which usually develops on the top of the foot. It may seem like a small tumor, but it is not cancer and is often the result of leg tension or injury. Although some cysts grow slowly over time, others may suddenly develop. The condition may also be caused by repeated movement for a long time, such as a constant position or walking. Arthritis can also cause excess fluid to accumulate between the joints and may eventually cause the fluid to form a cyst on the leg.

Symptoms of ganglium foot cyst may vary depending on the individual. The cyst is usually circular with a fixed texture, which is slightly flat when pressed. Gangli cysts usually do not cause pain unless they push the nerve in the leg that can make the area feel gentle or dull.

physician usually diagnoses the cyst of gangli leg physiBy examining her appearance and slightly pushes her fingers to ensure that it contains fluid and is not a hardened matter indicating a different condition. It can use the needle to draw a cyst fluid sample and explore it to make sure it is a thick gel and not blood or pus. In rare cases, the cyst may be contained under the skin and in fact not burst, so the doctor can perform X -rays or magnetic resonance (MRI) for diagnosis.

ganglion cysts often disappear themselves without further treatment, but if the cyst is painful, the doctor may put the syringe directly into it and remove all excess fluid to relieve pressure. If one still has recurring cysts, it can leave them surgically removed using a procedure known as a ganglionectomy. During the ganglionicam, the surgeon carries out a cut near the cyst and cuts around it to remove it from the skin. Even in surgery, the ganglion cyst can return in the future and require further treatment.

If the cystsThey occur as a result of accidents or arthritis, cannot be prevented and will usually be repeated. A person who is susceptible to ganglium cysts due to repeated leg movements can help reduce the likelihood of returning by wearing support and right shoes. If shoes do not fit properly, the legs can move too often inside them and cause friction that can contribute to the formation of cysts.
