Mycobacterium tuberculosis enters the alveoli through the respiratory tract with droplets and dust. After being engulfed by macrophages, the cerebroside of the bacterial cell wall inhibits the binding of phagosomes and lysosomes, and cannot play a bactericidal and lytic role. The growth and reproduction eventually lead to cell death and disintegration. The released Mycobacterium tuberculosis may be reproduced and invaded outside the cell, or swallowed by another macrophage, and the above process is repeated. This repeatedly causes exudative inflammation lesions, which are called primary lesions. Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the primary lesion can spread to hilar lymph nodes through the lymphatic vessels, causing lymphangitis and lymphadenopathy. The chest X-ray shows dumbbell-shaped shadows, called primary syndrome. With the establishment of the body's anti-tuberculosis immunity, most of the primary lesions can self-heal by calcification of fiber. However, a small amount of Mycobacterium tuberculosis can be latent in the primary foci for a long time, and the body can be continuously stimulated to strengthen the established anti-tuberculosis immunity, and it can also be used as a source of endogenous infection in the future. There are only a few people with low immunity. Mycobacterium tuberculosis can spread throughout the body through the lymph and bloodstream, causing systemic miliary tuberculosis or tuberculous meningitis.
