What is an adnex neoplasm?

Adnexal neoplasm is a tumor that develops in adnexal tissue. Adnexal means that accessories and adnexal tissues are the structures of accessories belonging to the organ. In the medical context, Adnexal is most often referred to the additional parts of the eye, uterus or skin, such as lids, ovaries and sweat glands, and adnex neoplasms may occur at any of these places. Adnexal tumor can be benign or malignant, although most are found to be benign. While the benign tumor does not spread and is not cancer, malignant tumor or malignancy is cancer and can attack the rest of the body if it is not treated.

There are many types of skin adnexal tumors, malignant and benign. Adnexal cells in the skin are found in sweat glands and hair follicles, and when these cells there are new growth or neoplasia, an adnex neoplasm is formed. In most cases, the adnexal skin tumor is cancer and the treatment will consist of surgical removal of the tumor. Rarely, the cancer adnexal neoo findsEna plasma and they tend to have a bad view because of their tendency to attack the surrounding structures and spread the body.

Adnexal neoplasm of the ovary is usually benign. Sometimes growth is a normal functional ovarian cyst, which the body produces several times a year, but which has increased or failed to leave before the end of a particular menstrual cycle. Adnexal tumor is more likely benign if it happens in the reproductive years of a woman. Before puberty and after menopause, there is a better chance that the adnexal tumor may be malignant. In many cases, the adnexal neoplasm of the ovary does not cause any apparent symptoms, although it may sometimes be evident.

Adnexal neoplasm treatment depends on whether the tumor is cancer. For benign neoplasm, treatment is not always necessary and growth may disappear. If this is not the case, laparoscopic surgery that is done by a small cut can be madey to remove the tumor.

When a surgeon believes that the neoplastic cells that make up a tumor could be cancer, surgery could include control of close structures for signs of spread. Depending on how far the tumor proceeded, surgery may be limited to limiting the main structures or even close tissues could be removed. The view of the adnexal neoplasm of the ovary differs from the excellent in the case of a benign tumor to the poor in the case of a cancerous tumor, which is already advanced at the time of diagnosis.
