What Is Clinical Optometry?

Optometry is used to check the concentration of light after it enters the eyeball. It uses the state of the emmetropic eye as a standard to measure the degree of divergence between the examined eye and the emmetropic eye. Since many people will almost associate with glasses in their lifetime, optometry is currently one of the most basic and most commonly used but important tasks for ophthalmic optics workers. So in terms of optometry, in social life, Both ophthalmologists and ordinary people are familiar.

Optometry is mainly used to check the deformation of the eyeball. Generally, two methods are used. One is to use an instrument to check the deformation of the eyeball, and the other is to use
There are many methods of optometry, and in terms of whether the eyeball is adjusted to be stationary, it can be divided into

(1) Children under 12 years of age. Because its regulating effect is very strong, if the optometry is not dilated, the error will be very large. (2) Patients with myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism of 12 to 40 years of age should, in principle, have mydriasis at the first refraction. In the second refraction, if the power does not change much, small pupil refraction can be added and subtracted according to the original power . (3) Fundus and refractive interstitial examination are normal, but vision is poor, and dilated optometry is required to exclude those with refractive errors. (4) More complicated refractive errors, such as high myopia, high hyperopia or high astigmatism, and myopia or hyperopia combined with astigmatism. (5) Adolescents have unstable eyesight. The eyesight is good for a while, and the eyesight is poor. Suspected as pseudomyopia. As soon as this patient dilated, the adjustment effect disappeared, and pseudomyopia was eliminated.
