What is intrauterine growth restrictions?

Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is a health condition in which the child does not grow normally, while in the womb and weighs less than a child, usually at the same gestational age. The child may have either a symmetrical or asymmetrical reduction in intrauterine growth. In a symmetrical iugr, the child is small all around. With an asymmetric iugr, the baby's body is small, while the head and brain are normal.

There are many causes of intrauterine growth limitation. Most often, the child could develop a condition, because with the placenta there is something wrong and the child does not have enough blood, food and oxygen. In other cases, an innate defect or genetic disorder may be caused and infections or diseases may also play a role. Finally, the mother can contribute to the onset of health by participating in dangerous pregnancy practices such as smoking or alcohol abuse and drugs. They tend to be weaker than children of normal size and threaten to die before or are dead. The child's true condition may require to be born by caesarean section. In addition to many other risks, children with intrauterine growth can have a high number of red blood cells (RBC), low blood pressure or more susceptible to infection.

Just because the child is small, does not mean that it has an intrauterine growth. For example, a child may be less than usual, but it may be because the mother is small. The physician will be able to determine whether the child actually has intrauterine restrictions on growth. During ultrasound, the doctor will measure the child and examine whether there is enough amniotic fluid in the uterus. In some cases, additional tests could be carried out to confirm the results.

Treisability of darkness to reduce intrauterine growth is limited. Above all, the mother should take care of maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle while maintaining all meetings with her doctor. If the doctor sees that the child does not grow or is oHoil dying, can cause work. A small child, regardless of whether he was born soon, may have to stay in the hospital longer until the doctor is sure he is healthy enough to leave. It depends on the severity of the condition, but at a time when the child is 2 years old, its growth is likely to normalize.
