What is inverse psoriasis?

Inverse psoriasis affects sensitive parts of the body and is particularly irritating and unpleasant form of psoriasis. A rash accompanying this condition is bright red and generally does not show a scaly appearance of plaque psoriasis. This is one of the rare types of psoriasis and can occur with other focus of psoriasis. Inverse psoriasis occurs in armpits, genitals and areas of weaknesses, under the breasts and skin folds around the abdomen. Because the rashes flourish in parts of the body with a lot of skin, overweight and obese people may be exposed to a higher risk of developing bending psoriasis. Symptoms in addition to the rash may include irritation, itching and increased sensitivity in the affected area.
