What is clonopin?

Klonopin® (Clonazepam) is an oral prescription drug used in the treatment of various mental health disorders such as anxiety, panic disorder and depression. However, since the drug has anticonvulsive properties, it is also prescribed to discourage seizures associated with epilepsy and also conquer syndrome syndrome of restless leg syndrome. Although this medicine is known as Klonopin® in the US, it is sold in other parts of the world under Rivotril®. The pharmaceutical segment of Swiss society, Hoffmann-La Roche, LTD, distributes this drug to the global market. The biochemical effect in the brain gives the drug the ability to influence perception and behavior. Unfortunately, this quality is also what leads to the deliberate abuse of this substance.

The pharmacological effect of KLONOPIN® is to increase the function of the main neurotransmission inhibitor known as aminomous acid (GABA) gamma (GABA) by linking to the receptor site. This leads to the suppression of nervous fire or more specifically to the deterrence of fast discharges for discharge associated with seizures. It's also fastacting. In fact, Klonopin® has an absorption rate of almost 90%, with the optimal blood concentration to achieve just an hour after ingestion. This high degree of biological availability is probably due to the fact that the drug has many receptor sites available outside the central nervous system, including places found in smooth muscles, mast cells and several main organs.

Like other psychotropic drugs, there are certain risks associated with the use of clonopin®. There may be a risk of developing chemical dependence from long -term or usual use. It seems that this risk is particularly obvious when this medicine is repeatedly used to combat insomnia. However, in responsibility and under the guidance of a health care expert, potential benefits can outweigh this risk.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the question is the download. It is absolutely important that the patient is “weaned” of this drug in incremental stages. Otherwise there may be a serious outerbones and irritability. In fact, this medicine can suddenly and completely end psychotic episodes, including dysphoria (depression) and hallucinations. In addition, sporadic seizures may occur, even for those who have not experienced any before the drug.

In terms of general side effects, Klonopin® may produce drowsiness and disrupt cognitive and motor function. Because of this action, the drug is usually not recommended for small children or seniors. In addition, this medicine may disrupt normal REM cycles, which means that sleep patterns can be affected and Groggines may be felt after awakening. Finally, Klonopin® should not be used during pregnancy if the doctor carefully monitors because there is an increased risk of congenital defects.
