What is Mesotheliom?

mesoltheliom is a form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Asbestos consists of small fibers, often used to produce insulation in homes, schools and other buildings. These diseases attack the heart, lung and abdomen lining.

Since asbestos can be found in the basic building materials, they are those that are threatened by mesolthelielioma, to a large extent, but unlimited, construction workers who built our buildings in the 1970s. The risk of using this natural mineral has either been unintentional or ignored by health official authorities. One danger of the disease is that symptoms are similar to general aging symptoms and many people tend to ignore them until more serious and potentially fatal symptoms occur. There are several types of malignant mesothelioma.

plEUR MESOTHELIOM or lung lining cancer, can cause shortness of breath, accumulation of fluids, chest pain, hoarseness, cough, muscle weakness, paralysis, sensory loss and swelling of the face and arms. There are two types of operations that are commonly performed for the treatment of this disease that involves removing parts of the lungs. The first operation is called pletectomy/decortication, which includes the removal of part of the lung lining to remove the tumor. The second operation is called extrapleural pneumonectomy. During this particular surgery, the lining, membrane, pericardium and the entire lungs may be removed to completely remove the tumor.

peritoneal mesothelioma or abdominal cancer can cause stomach pain, weight loss, nausea, vomiting, hernia, abdominal cavity or weight in the abdomen. Operation known as lapama to be carried out for rotoms, during which the doctor opens the abdomen to remove the entire tumor.

pericardial mesothelIOM or cancer of the heart lining is very rare, but can cause shortness of breath and chest pain. A surgery called extrapleural pneumonectomy can be created to remove the tumor.
