What is schizotypes?
schizotypes is a concept that considers the field of mental diseases often associated with schizophrenia to be a continuum rather than a binary option. Instead of considering whether someone is schizophrenic or not, this concept allows different degrees of schizophrenic behavior and thinking. Someone at the bottom of the scale can live a normal life without any type of schizophrenic collapse or other dramatic psychological event, while someone at the top of the scale is more likely to be influenced by schizophrenia. Schizotypes are usually considered a way to evaluate the potential of schizophrenia in humans, rather than consider schizophrenia to be something that someone does or does not have. A standard view of schizophrenia claims that someone is either schizophrenic or not, and then allows treatment for those who are schizophrenic. Instead, schizotypes are a statement that many people exist on a continuity of potential schizophrenic behavior, but that this does not necessarily have an impact on the lives of these people.
The claim of schizotype is therefore that schizophrenia is a possibility and that someone can manifest behavior or symptoms of schizophrenia without ever having a schizophrenic episode. There are a number of different tests that have been designed to evaluate where someone can exist in the range of schizotypes. Someone at the bottom of the scale may never experience any significant schizophrenia, while someone at the top end is more likely to have a schizophrenic episode when it is triggered by a stimulus such as stress or drugs. Tests are used to analyze the four main aspects of schizophrenia and to use these aspects to find out where someone can exist on a schizotypal scale.
One shit used in analysis, where someone can exist in a continuum of schizotypes are the consideration of the unusual experience that a person can have. They usually consist of unusual perceptions or attitudes that can have a person such as hallucinations or significantly strong beliefs insupernatural. Someone will also usually be analyzed on cognitive disorganization, which means that a person has difficulty organizing and expressing his thoughts.
Tests used in the evaluation of schizotypes will usually evaluate how introverted is a person and evaluates any anhedonii it can experience. Anhedonia is an inability to feel pleasure through experience and activities that are usually pleasant, such as eating, participation in parties with friends, or involvement in healthy sexual practices. The last aspect of schizophrenic behavior that is considered is a tendency for a person to prove non -conformity in an impulsive or unstable manner. Some of these aspects are associated with positive behavior, including a connection between a mild cognitive designer and creativity, but it would usually indicate that someone is only at the bottom of the schizotypical scale.
