In Video Editing, What are Transitions?

Transition effects refer to the special effects added to different shots and switching of shots during video editing in TV and movie programs, a bit similar to "slideshow switching" in ppt. Transition effects are widely used in digital television production and are a relatively common technical means. Usually divided into 3D effects and 2D effects. Transition effects make the show more expressive and highlight the style.
