What are continuous inkjet systems?
Continuous inks (CIS) systems are trains with spare parts for inkjet printers that feed ink into a special permanent cartridge using tubes connected to external bottles or tanks. The cartridge never runs dry or needs to be replaced. Instead, Ink can simply be added to bottles when it runs low.
plastic bottles, which are part of continuous inkjet systems, sit next to the printer. Depending on the printer model, there may be four or six (and sometimes 8) bottles. Each of them is filled with the right color ink. The tube runs from the bottle cap to the ink cartridge inside the printer. The tubes are connected to the cable "tape". The sets also include a syringe for the initial settings to clean the air tubes and draw ink. The bottle ink is not only more economical, but in the end all ink is used.
Another advantage of continuous inkjet systems is that the cassette is always full and adds even color every time fromIt grows consistent regardless of the size of the printing run. Large runs of photographs or other jobs can be classified without fear of exhaustion ink. The outer bottles are clean, so it is snap to complement all colors that can be low, while the bottles hold significantly more pigment than cassettes, minimizing maintenance. One company states that the ink bottles can withstand about 39 cassettes, while the other states that saving would be equal to paying about 53 cents (USD) for a cassette.
Some Epson printers use ink cartridges with connected microchip, which maintains a recording of the ink level used. When the cassette is exhausted to a certain level, the microchip does not allow the cartridge to be reused, even if it is supplemented. The continuous ink system sets have their own microchip protected by the entry connected to the cassette. This chip says the printer that the cassette is always 100% full, which negates the need to change it. Cartridges included in continuous ink systems are specsIlyally for longevity.
The reservoir bottles should not sit higher than the printer or gravity could cause the ink to flood the cassette, causing incorrect printing. The installation of the continuous ink system is very easy and takes only 5 - 20 minutes depending on the type of set and printer. Instructions are included. There are no permanent changes in the printer that can be easily converted back to use standard cartridges. Some continuous inkjet systems can only be used in some types of ink, while others can receive several types from OEM to special inks.
