What are the differences between a laptop and a desktop computer?

Notebook and desktop computer differ in size and function. The notebook is much smaller and therefore it is often more convenient to use. The desktop computer is much larger and tends to last much longer than the laptop than to be repaired or replaced. The notebook is often a separate unit and no additional parts are needed to start it. Users often have to buy monitors and other accessories to run a desktop computer. There is no difference in software types that can be run on each type of computer. The laptop is the only machine with a hard disk, disk drive, monitor, wireless modem, keyboard and mouse contained in it and easily folded in the transport case. The only other accessory that is often needed is the power cord with an adapter connected to it. The desktop computer consists of a tower that is a large rectangular box. The hardware calculation system is included in the box. In order to fully operate, an external monitor, keyboard, must often be attachedMice and wireless router.

The way the notebook and desktop computer is powered is another difference. The notebook runs on a rechargeable battery. The user often must connect the notebook to the energy source to charge the battery. The notebook can be used until the battery enters the power supply, when the owner must find the power source to connect it. The computer is operated by a direct energy source. Once the owner has found a convenient place to place a computer, it is connected to the wall outlet and often remains in the same place for the rest of its use.

The way the notebook and the desktop computer are maintained and upgraded is different. If the owner wants to upgrade his desktop computer, he can install a new salute, graphics card, sound card, hard drive, other RAM or other hardware with very small technical knowledge. This can often be done much cheaper than the cost of taking a computer to the repair shop. On the other hand, the notebook is much harder to upgrade. Most of the inner hardware in the notebook is often difficult to access, remove and exchange. For this reason, the cost of repairing or upgrading a notebook is often much more expensive than having the same task on the desktop.
