Dual screen display settings
- Most laptops today have dual-view display capabilities. Whether the notebook has DualView function, you only need to open the "Settings" item in the "Display Properties" dialog box. If there are two monitor icons, it means that the graphics card supports DualView. If there are no two monitor icons, Appears and only sees the reduced icon on the desktop, indicating that the graphics card does not support DualView.
- Win98 / Win2000 / WinXP support the use of multiple monitors to create desktops with multiple programs or windows. This article takes the Compaq Presario 800 used by the author as an example. DualView settings are performed under Win98. Similar settings can be made for Win2000 and WinXP.
- First connect the external monitor 2 to the VGA port of the notebook. Open the notebook's "Display Properties" dialog box and select the "Settings" option. You can see the icons of the two monitors. Click "Advanced" and select the "Display" card. Set the notebook's LCD as the primary display and the external monitor as the secondary display. At this time, you can also set the depth, resolution, and refresh rate of the primary and secondary display colors. They do not have to be the same. After setting, return to the display properties. Monitor 1 is a notebook LCD and Monitor 2 is an external CRT. When you click one of the monitor icons with the mouse, it is highlighted and displays information about its monitor at the same time. Check the box labeled "Extend my Windows desktop to "On this display" checkbox, a "Compatibility Warning" window will pop up, select "OK". To avoid misalignment, drag the monitor icon to match the actual arrangement of the LCD and CRT. The edge where the monitor icon intersects is the boundary where the mouse moves from one monitor to another. The author places the external CRT on the left of the desk and the LCD on the right. At this time, the CRT (monitor 2) is placed on the left and the LCD (monitor 1) is placed on the right. If the display icon does not follow the actual placement Arrange, you feel very uncomfortable when using the mouse and moving windows between two monitors.
- After the setting is completed, the main display LCD is the same as the original, but the external display is blank. At this time, you can move the mouse, drag or stretch the window between the two displays, or you can move the application to the external display for execution.

The LCD of the notebook not only displays the contents of the slides and notes in the slide show, but also lists the thumbnails of the slides and some buttons of the slide show tools. In this way, you can talk about the slides based on the notes on the remarks page. You don't need to turn the lectures forward and backward, and you will not miss the content of the lectures. You can also control the overall situation according to the slide thumbnail on the left. Use the projection tool to make the presentation "free and easy."
