What is a notebook inverter?

In electronics, the inverter can be defined as a direct current (DC) to the alternating current (AC). An example of the inverter is the adapter used in cars to convert a low -voltage cigarette lighter (DC) to a network voltage (AC). This allows you to use many types of electrical household devices on the road. In the notebook, the inverter is often used to illuminate the computer screen. Internally, the laptop runs at low voltage, except for a screen that uses a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD). Without the inverter and the bulb, the screen would be too weak to see correctly. By controlling the inverter output, the notebook can adjust its display brightness. Some types of notebook inverters can do this automatically using a small sensor to detect how clear the room is, and adjust their output accordingly.

LCD in traditional notebooks are illuminated with one or two thinfluorescent bulbs that require higher voltage than the rest of the computer. The inverter is usually located near the lamp and maintains its power wires as short as possible and to avoid unnecessarily preventing other parts of the machine. Less commonly common, some notebooks use diodes emitting white light (LED) to ensure backlight. These notebooks do not require an inverter at all, as LEDs can take their strength directly from the notebook motherboard.

As with any electronic component, disorders may occur in the notebook converter, especially after years of use. Common symptoms include the flashing of the screen on and off, the screen seems too weak to read and sometimes a weak buzzing noise. It should be noted that for all these symptoms there are other possible causes that are best diagnosed with a technian notebook or other qualified professional. If it is found to be defective, the notebook converter can usually be replaced.

every laptop model will have a concreteThe inverter design and generally are not interchangeable. Replacing the inverter is a relatively fast and cheap repair and is usually more cost -effective than its repairs. The replacement process simply includes removing the screen frame, disconnecting the old inverter and replacing it with a new one. The notebook inverter carries high voltage warnings and should only be replaced by a qualified professional under statically controlled conditions.
