A macro is actually a combination of a series of Office commands. Users can open the macro in the Visual Basic Editor for editing and debugging, delete unnecessary steps recorded during recording, or add instructions that cannot be recorded in Word. Specific steps are as follows:
(1) Select the [Macro] command in the [Tools] menu and the [Macro] command from the cascading menu. The [Macro] dialog box appears.
(2) Select the name of the macro to be edited or debugged in the [Macro Name] list box. If the macro does not appear in the list, select another macro list in the [Macro Location] box.
(3) Click the [Edit] button. The Visual Basic Editor window appears, where you can edit and debug the macro.
(4) After editing, select the [Close and Return to Microsoft Word] command in the [File] menu to return to the Word window.
