What Is a Socket AM2 Motherboard?

AM2 + is the next generation successor of AM2, and AM2 + (the interface is also 940-pin) was launched in the third quarter of 2007. AMD did not originally plan to launch the AM2 + interface, but because the AM3 interface supporting the AMD quad-core K8L processor was postponed to the second quarter of 2008, AMD must find a transitional interface, so AM2 + came into being gave birth.
