What is the ADSL socket?

Asymmetric digital subscribers (ADSL) is a digital communication technology that allows you to quickly transfer data along standard phone lines. The ADSL socket can link either to a cable connection on a computer or a wireless network center or a filter socket that is required to distribute signals received by telephone line into voice calls and data transfer signals. ADSL technology achieves faster speeds than those providing a standard modem connection by using unused frequencies in the telephone line to speed up the package gears. The ADSL cable can transmit data by extension of the connection of the phone wire between the wall -mounted socket and the receiving device. The ADSL cable can also be used to connect directly between the ADSL output port on the wireless network center and the ADSL socket on the computer if it is required.

The voice line will pick up all frequencies on the line, and therefore also pick up the data signals if this filter is not installed. ADSL filter is the only input to a dual output device that contains a simple low -pass filter in the output socket of the voice line. Digital Subscription Line (DSL) - such as a wireless hub - is designed to filter out low frequencies from receivedof this signal, and therefore no microfiltering device is required on this output.

There are other DSL services, but ADSL is the most commonly used type of home connection. ADSL connection is best suited for home use due to increased bandwidth that is provided when receiving or downloading direction compared to outgoing or uploading the signal. This mismatch of bandwidth provides asymmetric characteristics recorded in the name of technology. Companies often require higher recording speeds and will therefore have to invest in a more balanced DSL service or pay for a rented telephone line.
