What is an optical pen?

Artists are limited by the tools they use and the only tool available in the past digital or computer artists was a standard computer mouse. Digital artists and the public, however, increasingly turning their attention to the optical pen as a solution that will replace the cumbersome mouse. Optical pens offer some advantages over standard computer mice, but also have disadvantages.

The optical pen is a lightweight pen -shaped device. It can be used similarly to the normal pen used to write or draw computer software programs. The optical pen can also be used as a normal mouse because it has a trackball that moves objects and buttons to click. This unique input device can be used anywhere where a normal mouse could be used and does not require a special mouse mat.

Optical pens work equally well for individuals who have the right or left hand, although there are special models to alleviate the difference between writing and calculationStyles in these two groups. It does not work much storage space. Some optical pen models have the possibility to be wireless and allow them to rely on the battery power and transmit the signal from the indicator to the input device, which is normally connected to the empty USB slot on the computer.

One of the disadvantages that many consumers complained about is that optical pens are often poor and do not require much effort. Some individuals have found that working with optical pens requires a little getting used to and that the movement of the pen in some way causes the input to become beveled. The price of an optical pen is often much more than a standard USB mouse, but the prices of both lower with each next year.
