What Is Operating System Virtualization?
Operating system layer virtualization refers to the division of a specific part of a host operating system to produce isolated operation execution environments. The virtualization of the operating system layer is a virtual report provided directly by the operating system kernel. The virtualized operating systems share the underlying host operating system kernel and the underlying hardware resources. The key point of operating system virtualization is to isolate the operating system from upper-layer applications, and to falsify access to operating system resources, so that upper-layer applications feel that they have exclusive use of the operating system.
