In windows, multiple tabs are used to distinguish windows with different options, just like Internet options. As shown below:
Tab browsing is a feature in Internet Explorer that allows you to open multiple websites in a single browser window. You can open web pages in new tabs and switch between them by clicking the tab you want to view. By using tabbed browsing, you can potentially reduce the number of items displayed on the taskbar.
If you have multiple tabs open, you can also easily switch to other tabs using Quick Tabs. When multiple web pages are open at the same time, each web page is displayed on a separate tab. These tabs make it easy to switch between open websites. The Quick Tabs (Figure 1) provides a miniature view of all open tabs (called "thumbnails"). This makes it easy to find pages you want to view.
When you click the arrow next to the Quick Tab button, a list of all websites that have been opened is displayed. To switch to a different website, click the site name.
Answers to some common questions about PS tab browsing can be found in the Internet Explorer Help menu Internet Explorer Help.
