What Is Throughput?
Throughput refers to the amount of data (measured in bits, bytes, packets, etc.) that are successfully transmitted per unit of time to a network, device, port, virtual circuit, or other facility.
Throughput
- Port handling capacity refers to the total amount of cargo that is transported out of the port area, entered the port area, and undergoes loading and unloading operations within a year. It is the most important indicator to measure the size and capacity of the port. Reflected under certain technical equipment and labor organization conditions, the number of cargoes loaded and unloaded by the port in a certain period of time is expressed in tons.

Throughput definition
- Airport throughput refers to the number of aircraft takeoffs and landings and the number of passengers carried in a certain period of time. This indicator can reflect the size of the airport and the capacity of passengers.
Factors affecting throughput
- Studies have shown that the importance rankings of factors affecting passenger throughput at different airports are different, but the main influencing factors are similar, including urban GDP, total population, and total retail sales of consumer goods. The extraction of these impact indicators will provide an important reference for constructing an airport passenger throughput prediction model.
