What are photovoltaic systems?

Photovoltaic systems use a collection of solar cells to create electricity for use in different capacities. The process converts sunlight or ultraviolet radiation into energy. The system uses a number of solar cells wrapped in modules and connected to the condenser to store direct current (DC) and distribute it to the device or components to be powered.

The way the photovoltaic system works is simply using photons and allows them to influence electrons. This event creates a higher state of energy that creates an electric charge. The basic part of the system is a photodiode, which is also the primary collector of photons.

There are two main forms of photovoltaic systems: separate and hybrid. Separate systems are not connected to any external energy source. The energy collected is stored on site and is used to power the individual device. This may vary from small garden lights to spaceship. Hybrid systems are photovoltaic sysThemes that include other forms of energy consumption, such as diesel generators or wind energy and generally power larger buildings or areas.

It is possible to set the grid system using solar cells and modules. They are usually set on the fields or on top of large buildings and supply energy directly to the power supply. In order to convert the power current power to an alternating current used in a general grid, a specialized inverter must be used. The average collection of modules in these structures consists of 72 crystalline silicon cells that create approximately 160 watts of energy.

The biggest problem with the installation of photovoltaic systems is the total cost. Traditional systems use crystalline silicon modules that are the basic flat panels that most people recognize as solar radiation collectors. Newer systems have been designed with the concept of Modules concentrator. These modulesThey use large reflective surfaces to direct sunlight directly into the photo. This increased the efficiency of solar collectors and reduced the costs associated with them. According to data at the beginning of 2006, WATT costs were 7.50 USD in the US (USD) on average.

Other financing ideas were also established at the beginning of the 21st century. These include long -term contracts for free installation of photovoltaic systems in companies and residential communities in exchange for the right to collect excessive energy that is produced. Since 2009, approximately 90 percent of commercial photovoltaic installations have been installed in the United States using this method.
