What Are the Different Types of Textile Weaving?
Textile materials refer to fibers and fiber products, which are embodied as fibers, yarns, fabrics and their composites. In modern textiles, the development of new textile materials, especially the development and use of nanofibers, breaks through the traditional concept of textile materials. Textile materials have become an important part of soft material materials. Taking "shape" and its composite form as the research subject is one of the basic characteristics of textile materials [1-2] .
Textile material
(Textile industry term)
- "Fiber and fiber products" indicates that the textile material is not only a raw material, used for the object of textile processing, but also a product, which is a fiber assembly made by textile processing.
- "Fibers, yarns, fabrics and their composites" describes the forming process of textile materials, which can be performed sequentially or by jumping; it expresses the change from a single, scattered, tiny fiber to an aggregate arrangement, interdependence, and interaction. Fiber aggregates and even composites. The former "formation process" informs us that there are many variants of textile materials, and there is a multi-level conversion from object to product; the latter "process forming"
- According to the definition of textile materials, the content of textile materials includes fibers and fiber aggregates.
Textile material fiber
- Fiber is the basic unit of textile material. The source, composition, preparation, morphology, and performance of fibers are extremely rich and complex, and directly affect the properties of their constituents, fiber assemblies, as well as the practical and commercial value of fibers. To recognize and understand fibers, we should start with the fiber's name, classification, nomenclature, and basic characteristics, current status, and development of the fiber, and form objective, clear, and more accurate cognitive judgments and the concepts and rules of classification and nomenclature.
- Fiber is divided into natural fiber and chemical fiber according to source and habit, or chemical fiber is divided into artificial and synthetic fiber according to Anglo-American custom. There are three types of fiber. According to the material source properties of fibers, natural fibers are classified into plant (class) fibers, animal (class) fibers, and mineral (class) fibers. According to different raw materials, processing methods and composition components, it can be divided into three types: recycled fiber, synthetic fiber and inorganic fiber.
Textile material yarn
- The yarns processed from textile fibers are diverse, because there are different types of fibers and different yarn processing forms; because of the different yarn structures that are produced; because of the different physical properties and use characteristics caused by different yarn structures .
- According to its system (that is, the basic structural elements and structural forms of the yarn), the yarn is divided into "yarn", "silk", and "thread".
- Yarns are composed of fibers, which are divided into pure spinning yarns, blended yarns, and companion spinning yarns; according to the distribution of mixed fibers, there are evenly mixed yarns, variable mixed yarns, combined or composite yarns.
- The yarn can be used as a semi-finished product or a finished product according to its application, that is, corresponding to the processing yarn and the final yarn.
- The other classifications are mainly the customary name for yarn in production and processing.
Textile material fabric
- Fabric, referred to as cloth, is the main type of fiber products and the basic form of textiles.
- Textiles can be broadly divided into yarns, belts, ropes, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, knitted fabrics and non-woven fabrics according to different production methods.
