What are the different types of welding materials?

welding materials are grouped into specific categories, from the actual welder and welding rod to protective garments worn by a person performing welding and materials used for weld. The welders styles range from simple rod welders to metal inert gas (MIG) and inert gas (TIG) tungsten. Welding rods of various sizes, makeup and wire are used in MiG welding and are one of the more common types of welding materials found in the welding shop. Other welding materials, such as welding masks, gloves and leather vests, provide protection from burns with eyes, hands and skin. The welding rods are completed by typical welding materials and are available in many sizes and derivatives with a flow, each designed to best serve the individual welding task at hand.
