What is a Braided Hose?

Braided hose refers to the product after weaving a layer of stainless steel wire on the outside of stainless steel hose or hose. It is mainly used for electrical circuit protection and pipe connectors such as household faucets, toilets, and showers. The domestic production bases of braided hoses are mainly Shanghai, Cixi, Yuyao, Yuhuan, Nanan, Fujian, Quanzhou, Kaiping, Guangdong, Hengshuijing County and other places.

Inner tube: materials such as nitrile rubber, PVC, EPDM are often used. The inner tube of the braided tube is mainly made of NBR and PVC;

Outer layer: woven with 8 strands of 304 stainless steel wire of 8mm, density 20 turns / 40mm;

Nut and inner core: Made of HPb59 high-quality brass through stamping and machining, and the surface of the nut is chrome-plated;

Connection sleeve: made of copper sheet of HPb62 HPb65, the surface is chrome-plated;

Gasket: 4.5mm thick butadiene rubber flat gasket ^[2]

The domestic production bases of knitted hoses are mainly in Cixi, Yuyao, Yuhuan, and Fujian.

Braided hoses can generally be divided into single-headed tubes according to the above functions.

Braided pipe usually adopts GB / T23448-2009 or JC886-2001. Since braided pipe is mainly used for water supply connection of sanitary equipment or drinking water equipment, water directly contacts human skin or is directly drunk after passing through the pipeline. Therefore, the material of the inner tube in contact with the water source is very critical. The existing national standards or standards of the Ministry of Construction require that the inner pipe materials meet the "GBT17219-1998 Standard for Safety Evaluation of Drinking Water Transmission and Distribution Equipment and Protective Materials" in order to ensure that water sources are not polluted. In Europe, Germany has higher requirements for braided pipes, especially braided pipes connected to drinking water, and the inner pipes are required to undergo a microbiological toxicity W270 test. Under this requirement, the original PVC, EPDM and other raw materials have failed to meet the requirements . European market is generally used the latest inner tube material is mainly silicone tube or PEX-B tube, because silicone tube cost is too high, so the European market PEX-B tube will be the future trend. Of course, it includes other developed countries such as Europe and the United States ^[1] .
