What is the capacitor voltage transformer?

CVT or or condenser voltage transformer is a transformer circuit used in high voltage applications. The capacitor transformer is used as a means to supply a low -voltage filtered signal to protected relay parts of the connected electrical circuits. These transformers are mostly used in high -level circuits as measuring equipment and as a means to protect specific parts of the circuits.
