What Is a Compressor Air Dryer?

Air drying is the removal of water from the air. There are two major forms: adsorption and freezing. Adsorption compressed air dryer uses the principle of pressure swing adsorption. When wet air passes through the adsorbent, moisture is adsorbed to obtain dry air. Refrigerated compressed air dryer uses the principle of cooling air to reduce the temperature of the air. Moisture is precipitated from the air by condensation to obtain dry air.

GW heat-free regeneration air dryer achieves the drying effect through "pressure change" (pressure swing adsorption principle). Because the gas's ability to contain water vapor is inversely proportional to the pressure, a part of the dried gas (called regeneration gas) is decompressed and expanded to atmospheric pressure. This pressure change makes the expanded gas drier, and then passes it through the drying that needs regeneration. Agent layer (that is, a drying tower that has absorbed enough water vapor), the dry regeneration gas sucks out the moisture in the desiccant and takes it out of the dryer to achieve the purpose of dehumidification. The two towers work cyclically, without the need for a heat source, to continuously supply dry gas to the user's gas system. Provide dry compressed air source for pneumatic control, pneumatic instruments, pneumatic components and industrial gas in industries such as chemical industry, light industry, telecommunications, petroleum, textile and other industries. It has small volume, simple process flow, low investment and use. Easy maintenance, automatic control and energy saving.
Athermal regeneration air dryer is a unit equipment, but it must be matched with air compressor, cooler, buffer tank and other equipment to form an air purification system. The process is as follows:
The air is compressed by the compressor to the cooler, the temperature is reduced to 40 ° C, and then it enters the buffer tank, the degreaser, and enters the tower A (or B) from the inlet cut-off valve IA (or IB) on the dryer for removal. Warm drying, and then output from the upper part through the check valve CA (or CB). About 85% of the dry air is filtered by the dust filter and then input into the air storage tank as the finished product for users. About 15% of the dry air passes through the regeneration gas restriction valve d on the dryer and enters the drying tower B (or A) as the B tower (or A tower) for regeneration gas. The regenerated humid air is exhausted by the exhaust gas. The shut-off valve RB (or RA) is discharged into the atmosphere through the muffler.
The working cycle of this equipment is 10 minutes. When the regeneration process is performed for 4 minutes, the electrical control box sends a signal to gradually increase the pressure of Tower B (Tower A). At 4 minutes and 5 seconds, the pressure of Tower B (or Tower A) The intake valve is opened, so that the pressure of Tower B (or Tower A) is raised to the working pressure value, so that when the two towers are exchanged, the pressure is balanced; at 5 minutes, the electric control box sends a signal to close the intake shut-off valve IA (Or IB), open the exhaust shut-off valve RA (or RB), the A tower (or B tower) begins to enter the regeneration stage, so the cycle is repeated, the dry air is continuously sent out, and the dryer itself is continuously regenerated.
