What Is a Mini Forklift?

Electric forklifts are forklifts that operate on electricity, most of which work for batteries. The accumulator is a kind of battery, and its function is to store limited electric energy and use it in a proper place. Its working principle is to convert chemical energy into electrical energy. This kind of battery is built into the battery of the electric forklift. It should be noted that the battery should not be placed horizontally! Because the inside of the battery is generally 22-28% dilute sulfuric acid. When the battery is being discharged, the electrolyte can flood the electrode plate and leave a little space. If the battery is placed horizontally, a part of the electrode plate will be exposed to the air. This is very detrimental to the battery electrode plate, and the general battery observation hole or The top of the battery has an exhaust port that communicates with the outside world, so the electrolyte can easily flow out when the battery is placed horizontally.

Electric forklift battery

Forklift battery (Leoch) [2]
1. Use polyester fiber row pipe, good elasticity, small aperture, low resistance, high air permeability;
2. Fully insulated flexible connecting wire, no leakage current;
3. The valve structure that pops off the top plug with a special electrolyte liquid level indicator;
4. Equipped with a liquid injection cap with automatic rehydration;
5.Using imported micro-porous high-quality oblique diaphragm, high porosity and low resistance;
6, using PP battery shell, cover material, impact resistance;
7. The patented terminal sealing structure completely prevents the electrode plate from growing and leaking. [2]

Electric forklift daily maintenance

1. The battery should always be replenished with distilled water (pure water).
2. If the electric forklift is not used for a long time, the battery should be fully charged and shelved. And keep the frequency of about 1 to 2 months apart for charging.
3. When working in multiple shifts, the motor-driven storage forklift needs to have a backup battery (in the case of continuous work, the battery power is consumed quickly and the battery is also consumed).
4. When charging the battery, the charging circuit must be completely separated from the chopper, because in addition to affecting the charging of the charger, the overvoltage generated by the charger will also damage the chopper.
5. Do not place the battery horizontally.
6. Select a smart staged charger to prevent overcharging from causing water loss.
7. Select high-efficiency electric hub system to reduce working current.
8, regular charging or maintain a reasonable charging frequency, it is best to achieve planned charging. Such as one charge per day or two days.
9, to prevent loss of electricity storage, loss of electricity storage is the most harmful to the battery.

Matters needing attention for electric forklifts

During the charge and discharge process of the battery, the water in the electrolyte will gradually decrease due to electrolysis and evaporation, which will cause the electrolyte surface to drop. If it is not replenished in time, the service life of the battery may be shortened, and distilled water should be replenished in time. Do not use pure drinking water instead, because pure water contains a variety of trace elements, which will adversely affect the battery.
When adding electrolyte or water to the battery, pay attention that the electrolyte is 10-15 mm higher than the electrode plate; for batteries with two red wires, the electrolyte must not exceed the red wire. If the electrolyte is too full, it will overflow from the small hole in the battery cover. Once it flows between the positive and negative poles of the battery, a loop self-discharge will form. In this case, the electrolyte should be wiped off or rinsed with boiling water.
If something accidentally falls into the electrolyte, do not use metal objects [2] for fishing, use wooden sticks to remove impurities; if you use iron wire or copper wire for fishing, metal molecules will enter the battery under the corrosion of sulfuric acid Self-discharge is formed and the battery is damaged.
If the vehicle stops running for more than 20 days, the negative wire of the battery should be disassembled to avoid leakage accidents.
