What is a double key?

The key is a tool used to apply torque to rotate nuts, screws and other different fasteners. Standard keys consist of a long metal handle with a mechanism at the end to grip the item. The double key is similar, but it has a mechanism of mechanisms at both ends instead of one. In the UK, this tool is commonly known as "key" or "double key". The open double key is one of the most common varieties and includes a U -shaped holder at both ends of the handle. This U -shaped holder can be mounted around nuts or screws during installation to tighten or release them. End holders on the open double key are usually two different sizes, allowing users to work on two different fasteners using a single tool. This also means that the whole set of the key is half as large as it was if it consisted of uniform keys.

TD -connected key is also available in an adjustable model. NiWaters can turn a small adjustment wheel to expand or narrow the holder at the ends of the keys. These units can be smooth for use with standard fasteners or serrated for use with pipes and plumbing.

The double key has circular holders at both ends, which can wrap all the way around the fastener. Consoles are usually two different sizes to suit different types of fasteners. Some units may have a closed holder at one end and an open holder at the other end. In this type of configuration, both holders are generally of the same size.

Some bike repair kits may include a double conical key. This tool is much smaller and thinner than a standard key that allows it to fit into small areas in the operating components of the wheel. These keys usually have an open console at both ends, Tygh are to the displayAlso, some closed models.

When selecting a double key, it is important to find the one that is correct for the project you are working on. Too large the key that is too large will probably damage the nut or screw when you try to turn. Too small unit does not fit around the fastener at all and will be ineffective. While the adjustable keys offer greater flexibility in terms of size, they are considered less strong and stable than standard keys and usually do not supply the same level of torque or force.
