What is the grain snail?

grape worm is a device used in agriculture to transport grain. It consists of a solid shaft contained in a large tube, surrounding it. Flying is a flat steel spiral, which is controlled in the center of the shaft. When the spiral turns in the direction of clockwise, the grain is pulled and pushed into the shaft. The grain is then placed in a hopper that uses gravity to insert grain in storage baskets, trucks or cereal cars. The first prototype was created in 1945, but his colleagues and other machine designers were ridiculed. Pakosh continued his work and in 1953 he began selling snails for grain thousands. It quickly became standard for all modern machines.

The grain snails are portable machines, so they easily transport them via the wheels connected to the bottom. They are used by seasons on small and extensive farms. They can be up to 60 feet long (18 meters) and must be moved to the lowest position before movement. If a grain snail is raised when transportingIT on electric lines and cause electric shock.

Guards are placed at the end of some snails of the grain to prevent unwanted material into the shaft. Machines that do not use these guards expose the risk of contamination of grain or towing foreign material. Most local agricultural departments recommend using guards to prevent these problems. The guards usually have a triangular shape and cover the intake, allowing only small grains to pass.

Generally, the cereal snail is used only for a small time of the year, when the grain is mature and ready for transport or storage. The national database of agriculture security in the United States recommends annual pre -season maintenance of grain snail. This maintenance includes security checks to ensure that all components are functional, the machine lubrication according to the manufacturer's instructions if necessary and testing and off.

hYdraulic grapes of grain have recently been available to consumers. These snails include hydraulic energy and contain their own diesel power plant and a separate hydraulic system. They are advertised as easier to use, transport and clean. The first hydraulic cereal snail was created by Bergen Industries, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, in Saskatchewan, Canadian.
