What is the jack?

Also known as an elevator of an elevator or elevator shaft, the shaft is designed to allow the elevators to move effectively between the floors of the building. The shafts are usually designed so that the elevator can move smoothly from one floor to another, while allowing space to use additional equipment for opening and closing the door when the elevator reaches the floor. It is not unusual that the elevator shaft will be designed to be possible in the case of mechanical failure to access strategic points along the shaft.

In many public buildings equipped with elevators, each lift provides easy access to each floor in the structure. There is also what is called blind lift . In this design, the shaft is not equipped with access to every floor in the building. This is sometimes a practical approach in buildings where a security clearance is necessary to reduce the access of unauthorized staff. With this design, public lifts allow access to all floors considered open, asThus, private elevators use a jack design that allows access to each floor in the building, including those that are limited security.

The

jack design usually includes ventilation equipment, allowing maintenance workers to conveniently correct any problems with the hydraulic system or other devices used to operate elevators. Another common feature of the jack is a set of sliding doors located on each floor where the elevators stop. Sensors that are mounted in the shaft signal these doors to open as well as the elevator arrives on the floor, allowing people to enter or leave the elevator at will. The main track is also sometimes equipped with emergency ladders along one shaft wall, allowing workers to enter the shaft and respond with the ladder to respond, which stopped between the floors due to some type of mechanical failure.

while the foundationThe jack design has remained constant for decades, technological advances have been easier to monitor the condition and condition of the device contained in the shaft. The final result is that maintenance tasks for elevator systems, including security controls, are easier to carry out than in the past decades. Today, the use of robotic technology has minimized the need for workers to physically enter the shaft to perform some maintenance tasks, which in turn has helped reduce the potential of physical damage during repair or replace the key components placed in the shaft.
