What is a hydraulic seal?

Hydraulic seal is a device similar to seal used to seal hydraulic fluid and pressure inside the hydraulic cylinder. Two types of hydraulic seals are commonly used on the hydraulic cylinder: static seals and dynamic seals. There are also two types of material for the production of hydraulic seals: rubber and polyurethane. The type of material used to produce seals is usually ordered by the amount of pressure or heat to which the seal is exposed. The hydraulic seal is commonly mounted on the inner cylindrical shaft and sealed against the external case of the cylinder. A static type of seal is a different seal, which is usually used in the cap applications of the lid seal or as a seal or a flange seal. The static seal is usually mounted in the groove and thanks to its stationary assembly design it is able to withstand high pressure.

The dynamic style of hydraulic seal is able to resist movement against its inner hole and is usually used on the inner shaft of the hydraulic cylinder. Dynamic seal allowIt takes the inner hydraulic cylinder to slide through its opening and still contains the liquid inside the cylinder itself. Another type of dynamic seal is known as piston seals. The piston seal allows movement against its outer dimension, such as inside the hydraulic cylinder case. In both versions, the seals are machined so tight tolerance that the cylinder is able to slip by sealing while the hydraulic fluid remains sealed inside the cylinder.

rust and erosion on the hydraulic cylinder are the enemy of the hydraulic seal. Coarse surfaces caused by pitting and chaff typically smooth cylinders can cause torn or tearing a flexible surface of the seal. This may result in leakage or complete from the seal, resulting in a loss of hydraulic fluid and a weak hydraulic cylinder. Poor gaskets can allow pressure to slowly bleed by the hydraulic cylinder. This will often result in a flabby cylinder or a roller that has a reduced lifting or maintenance capacity.

Sometimes you can buyReplacement hydraulic seal, which is designed to fit into the recessed position on the hydraulic cylinder. This creates a new sealing surface for the face of the seal, on which it can be that it can be without reason and wear. This prevents leakage and eliminates the need to completely rebuild or replace the worn cylinder.
