What is a knee kicker?

Kicker knee is a tool useful for installing carpets on stairs and small areas, including cabinets, and is also used to place the carpet in larger areas. Kicker knee is a processed tool that consists of a pin plate attached to a short segment of a metal tube. At the opposite end of the PIN board there is a padded pillow, where the installation program exerts pressure with its knee to place the carpet, ie the name of the tool.

Although it can be used as such, peg peg is not enough for general stretching; A power stretcher is required for this task. In the normal fourth corner room, the knee kicker occupies an excess view from the carpet in the center of the room. The installation program will use the knee kicker to pull the carpet towards the edge of the room and then hang it on a flawless belt.

A hull belt or a cvo belt consists of wood with points of attachment that hangs on the carpet mat. The edge, after cropping the excess, is tucked between the belt and the baseboard, usually with the sealant nožem. Some installations use a staircase tool to plug the strip down onto the wall. After using another tool, the carpet stretcher returns the installation program again down each wall with a knee kicker.

Despite its name, the knee kicker must be pushed, rather than dig to reach the carpet. Place the padded end of the tool a few centimeters above the knee and put pressure. If the other side has been installed on the band, do not avoid using the knee kicker on one side of the carpet.

If you want to adjust the kicker knees correctly, start with 3½ settings and adjust as needed. Be sure to remove any lint from the teeth to catch the tool properly. Other tools designed for carpet installation include carpet iron, carpets, staircase tools and carpet stretchers. The carpet blade is double -sided and is sharper than the basic utility knife. Attach Seeams,The installations use a hot-tale heated by an iron carpet. The carpet stretchers have small teeth that grab the carpet and help, stretching it towards the edges.
