What is a plastic solenoid?
Plastic solenoid is a device enclosed in a plastic case that supplies remote switching, settings or control for other wrapped devices. For example, the plastic solenoid valve of the washing machine is activated by the timer of the machine timer to open and allow water to flow into the machine. The valve is usually placed deep in the viscera of the machine in such a position that a person operating a machine would never be able to achieve, so soleoide performs the work remotely. Solenoids achieve their work with the kind permission of the electromagnetic field generated when their coil is under tension. Plastic solenoid is generally exactly the same as other types in terms of functioning, it varies only in its plastic cover, which prevents corrosion of solenoid and impact risk.
Solenoid is a universal work horse used in applications as diverse as a family vacuum cleaner and shuttle. They provide a simple, linear work movement for modifying the machine parts, switch-on device or for the purpose of takingthe eating. These are not the only types of devices at a distance, although they are by far the simplest consisting of only two parts. The first is the static coil of the copper wire wrapped around the hollow, insulating core. The second part is a moving spring piston placed so that its end is placed in the neighborhood with the opening of the core.
When the electric current is handed over to the plastic solenoid coil, the concentric nature of the winding creates a strong magnetic field around the coil. This magnetic force attracts the solenoid plunder, causing it to move quickly to the hollow core of the coil. The activated device is connected to the piston by means of a connection, so this movement adds the required control. When the coil power is turned off, the return of the piston pulls it back from the coil and reset the piston for further Cycle duty. Electric current used to activate solenoid can start manually by operator or be sent automizoa defined process such as a washing machine timer.
Many environments where these devices are used have a constant exposure to moisture with a reasonable risk of corrosion of solenoid parts and electrical shocks or short -circuit circuits. To prevent this, plastic solenoid is closed in a closed plastic cover that protects the internal mechanism. It also saves weight where it is relevant and facilitates the production of solenoid cheaper and easier.
