What is a screw clutch?

The screw coupling is a device used to mechanical connection of two separate parts by means of the coated threads. This type of clutch can be used on solid components such as steel bars and hollow members such as pipes. The screw clutch is one of the simplest of all connections, yet it is able to influence the joint of significant forces. Depending on the specifics of the application, these couplings may be slightly more than under the threaded sleeves used to connect two similarly threaded rods or more complex fittings consisting of separate males and female units that have met or soldered at the end of the ducts. Applications where screw couplings are used are diverse and include building construction, irrigation installations and brake systems on trains.

In most industrial, agricultural and domestic environments, it is necessary to regularly combine the lengths of hoses or bar supplies. In some cases, permanent joints made by soldering, welding or ADH are suitableEzive technician applications at hand. Where non -performance joints are required, other solutions are required with a wide range of removable links that are regularly used. One of the more common types in general is the clutch bolt family when connecting the device. These couplings use the mechanical force of the paired fibers to influence tight and secure joints, which are easily disconnected at will.

The simplest type of screw clutch is a threaded sleeve or collar. This type of screw coupling, which consists of short lengths of hoses with inner thread, requires that the tugs of the pipe or bars connect with a similar male thread. The sleeve is then screwed at the end of one rod or pipe until the pipe has progressed to the sleeve of approximately half of its length. The end of the second pipe or rod is then screwed to the other end of the sleeve until it is against the other pipe or family. This type of screwThe couplings can be from a simple external profile or has hexagonal cuts suitable for tightening the key.

screw couplings used on high -pressure hoses or pipes are generally a little more complicated, usually consisting of two parts, one with male thread and the other with the corresponding female thread. Individual binding elements are soldered, soldered or limited at the end of the pipeline. Both ends then join and two halves of the inverter are screwed pantyhose against each other. Screw couplings can be made of cast iron, stainless steel or different plastic stages and often have internal seals such as packages or OB fields. For screws, see use in a very wide range of applications that include construction and heavy industry, agricultural and home irrigation and high -pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as train.
