What Is a Socket Weld Flange?
The socket welding flange refers to the flange that is inserted into the flange ring step at the end of the pipe and welded at the end of the pipe and the outside. There are two kinds of necked and non-necked. The flange with neck tube has good rigidity, small welding deformation and good sealing performance. It can be used in the pressure of 1.0 ~ 10.0MPa. Type B flanges for containers are also socket welding flanges, and are used in places with high sealing requirements. When designing, the socket welding flange can be checked as an integral flange.
