What is a solenoid connector?
Solenoid connector is a cable finish used to connect to the coil solenoid to the power supply. In most cases, these connectors are standard design and consist of half of men and women who are safely connected. The connector power side is usually a female socket with recessed pins, while the side of the coil is equipped with a male plug. In most cases, these connectors will be a general type of removable PIN, although many solenoid applications have specially designed connectors. When replacing a broken solenoid connector, it is necessary to ensure that the combination of the connector/PIN is appropriately evaluated for safe transport of solenoid operating current.
Most solenoids have sealed spools with short length exposed power lead. These conductors must be associated with the solenoid energy source before the solenoid use. In some cases, the solenoid is sufficiently close to the inspection source to insert the wires directly into its output connection. In most of the applicationsHowever, the energy source will be at a long distance from the solenoid and will require the control cabling to be routed to its position. The solenoid connector is then used to create a safe and clean connection between the coil wires and the energy source cable.
Theoretically, for any connection, including connector blocks, soldered connections or push-in, before the isolated terminals will be sufficient if you connect the solenoids to the supply circuit. However, the solenoid connector is a better way to establish these connections for many reasons. First, it creates a standardized installation where the replacement of parts does not require any modification of the existing connection. Secondly, they provide tight, clean joints with small or no potential for electric shocks, overheating or shortcuts. Connector joints of non -altitude connector are desirable from a diagnostic point of view because they allow the technician to easily insulate solenoid during testOutfall for the location of failures.
There is a large selection of generic products that are suitable for use as solenoid connectors, including known, extracted pins. However, many applications contain types of connectors for tag -specific, which can make it difficult to replace. In all cases, however, care should always be carried out during the replacement of the solenoid connector to match the new capacity of the connector with the operating current of the solenoid coil. Incorrect evaluation connector can cause overheating and melting the connector, causing a risk of shock or fire.
