What is the pin?

Terón is a male part of the mortality and a pin joint that is used to create an extremely strong and durable point for many materials. Although there are a number of styles, the concept is basically the same: the end part of one material is inserted into a hole in another material. In general, the pin is made by narrowing part of the rail from which it is cut and creates a "arm" that determines how deep can be inserted into painting. After insertion, the pin can be glued, clipped or left alone.

There are several different types of tensons that serve different functions. Some styles are used for strength, while others are used as part of the overall design. Common styles include, Stub, Through, Tusk and Feather Tenons.

Tar or hidden pin is shorter than the width of the material into which it is inserted. This type is used if no evidence of the connection method is required. If the stump is sufficiently tight, frictions can be held in place. If not, it can be strengthened with glue or pins.

tusk or wedge, pin, uses small wedges to force the end grain of wood apart and tightened it against the sides of the painting. This type of joint rarely uses glue or pins. If they pass through Malt, the wedges may have a decorative effect.

feathers or free, snails are separate pieces of wood, inserted into concealing cut into both pieces of joining material. These chips are usually secured with glue or pins. This type of forehead is also a variation on the joint of biscuits, which is commonly used in frame construction.

The more possible joint should be a cap of a third of the rail thickness. While the shoulders may not be cut from all sides, they can help the hiding placet less than perfect nuts. The rails are easiest to be used using a desktop saw or a desk of the router and special drill pieces are available for cutting round pins.

While the most common among the woodcatters, this type of joinery is also employed by stonemasons, metal workers and engineers. It is used in everything, from the production of furniture to wood construction, and evidence of its use was discovered in the debris of ships dating already 4800 BC. Buddies in Stonehenge, supported by mortars and pins, still stand for 4,500 years. The famous Khufa ship from the Giza Pyramid complex, built around 2500 BC, also shows signs of Maltiva and Tube.
