What Is a Vibrating Feeder?

The vibrating feeder is also called vibrating feeder, which refers to a device that can uniformly, regularly and continuously feed block or granular materials from the storage bin to the receiving device. In the sand and gravel production line, it can continuously and uniformly feed the crushing machinery and coarsely screen the materials. It is widely used in the crushing and screening equipment of metallurgy, coal mines, beneficiation, building materials, chemical industry, and abrasives.

The working parameters of the vibrating feeder include vibration frequency, amplitude, excitation angle, installation angle, etc. Reasonable selection of working parameters is an important condition to ensure the normal operation of the machine. It must not only meet the needs of productivity, but also take into account the ability of the machine to withstand dynamic loads and the amount of power consumed. In addition, the conveying efficiency is often closely related to the movement characteristics of the material. Therefore, when selecting the working parameters, the physical properties of the materials and the dynamic characteristics in the transportation process must also be considered.
1. Mechanical index and throw index
Most vibrating feeders work under near-resonance conditions, and the material is in a continuous throwing motion, and generally has a high mechanical index. However, considering the level of machine productivity, the length of the conveying distance, and the size of the vibration mass, the normal conveyance of materials due to insufficient stiffness is avoided. Generally, the mechanical index of the vibration feeder is controlled at K = 3 ~ 5, and the throwing index is controlled at Kp = 1.4 ~ 2.5. When conveying brittle materials, reduce the excessive crushing of the materials during the conveying process. A smaller throwing index should be adopted, or a higher frequency and smaller amplitude should be selected under a certain throwing index to reduce the fall of the material and the groove. Relative impact velocity of the body.
2. Excitation angle and installation angle The size of the excitation angle is selected according to factors such as the conveying speed, the wear of the tank, and the requirements for the degree of material crushing. Vibration angle. But in fact there are many factors that affect the conveying speed, which need to be comprehensively analyzed. Motor vibration feeder generally takes excitation angle = 25 ° ~ 35 °. The installation angle refers to the angle (installation angle) between the tank and the horizontal plane, and its value affects the conveying speed of the material. When the tank is installed downward, the conveying speed is significantly increased. For example, when =-10 °, the conveying speed can be increased by about 40%; when =-15 °, it can be increased by more than 75%. However, the value of should not be too large, because it not only exacerbates the wear of the material on the tank, but also is limited by the natural angle of repose of the material. Generally not more than 10 ° ~ 15 °. [6]

Vibrating feeder operation regulations

1. Preparations before starting:
(1) Read the duty record and deal with the remaining problems of the previous shift.
(2) Inspect and remove any debris between the body and the chute, spring, and bracket that affects the body's movement.
(3) Carefully check whether all fasteners are fully tightened.
(4) Check whether the lubricating oil in the exciter is higher than the oil level.
(5) Check if the transmission belt is good; if it is found to be damaged, replace it; if there is oil, wipe it with a rag.
(6) Check whether the protective device is in good condition and find out any unsafe phenomenon in time.
2. Start:
(1) After inspection, the condition of the machine and transmission is normal, and then it can be started.
(2) This machine is only allowed to start under no load.
(3) After starting, if any abnormal phenomenon is found, stop the machine immediately, and wait for the abnormal situation to be identified and eliminated before starting again.
3. Use:
(1) Only after the machine has stabilized and vibrated, can it run with material.
(2) Feeding should meet the requirements of load test.
(3) Shut down should be carried out in accordance with the process. It is forbidden to stop with the material or continue feeding during and after the shutdown.

Vibration feeder safety technology

Vibration feeder picture
1. Frequent maintenance and overhaul is an important means to extend the service life of the machine and ensure normal work. Users should pay attention to it. For lubrication, the following points should be noted:
(1) This machine adopts thin oil splash lubrication. The lubricating oil should be determined according to the place of use and temperature conditions, and gear oil is generally used;
(2) The thin oil level in the shaker should be higher than the oil standard height (filled through the joint elbow), and it must be replaced every 3-6 months. Clean the gasoline tank or bearings when changing the oil Raceways and gear surfaces.
2. Safety technology:
(1) The operator of this machine must be educated in safety technology;
(2) During operation, it is strictly forbidden to stand on the side of the machine, touch the machine body with your hands, adjust, clean, clean up or overhaul;
(3) The machinery and equipment should be grounded, the wires should be reliably insulated, and installed in a snake skin tube. Always check the motor wiring for wear and leakage.

Vibrating feeder operation rules

  1. The feeder should be installed on a fixed basis according to the specified installation method. Before the mobile feeder is put into operation, the wheels should be wedged with triangles or braked. In order to avoid walking during work, when there are multiple feeders working in parallel, there should be a meter of passage between the machine and the machine and the wall.
  2. Before using the feeder, you must check whether each running part, tape hasp and bearing device are normal, and whether the protective equipment is complete. The tension of the tape must be adjusted to a suitable level before starting.
  3. The belt feeder should be started without load. Wait for normal operation before feeding. It is forbidden to drive after feeding.
  4. When there are several feeders running in series, they should start from the discharge end and start sequentially. Only after all the normal operation, can feed.
  5. When the tape deflection occurs during operation, it should be stopped and adjusted, and it should not be used barely, so as not to wear the edges and increase the load.
  6. The working environment and the temperature of the materials to be sent must not be higher than 50 ° C and lower than -10 ° C. Do not transport materials with acid-base oils and organic solvents.
  7. No pedestrians or passengers are allowed on the conveyor.
  8. Before stopping, you must stop feeding and wait for the material on the belt to be discharged before stopping.
  9. The feeder motor must be well insulated. Do not pull or drag the cable of the mobile feeder. The motor must be reliably grounded.
10. It is strictly forbidden to pull the belt by hand when the belt slips to avoid accidents. [7]
