What is connected to laser plastic cutting?

Laser plastic cutting requires a carbon dioxide laser, a computer program and a work table. Some laser machines produce or etch objects, while others are able to engrave and perform full thickness, depending on the laser performance. The flying optical laser, also known as the Z cutter, usually has a stationary table that holds plastic. The laser head travels along the X, Y and Z axis, allowing the operator to repair the depth of the cut or allow the machine to suit the materials of different thicknesses.

A hybrid laser cutter generally consists of a motorized table that moves along the X axis, while the cutting head moves on the Y axis. The motorized table on a moving material cutter moves along the X and Y axis, while the laser cutting head remains immobile. These machines usually maintain a constant distance between the laser and the cut material. Moving material laser cutting of plastic machines tends to cut more slowly than the other two types of machine.
