What Is Metal Sealant?
Silicone sealant is a paste made of polydimethylsiloxane as the main raw material, supplemented with crosslinkers, fillers, plasticizers, coupling agents, and catalysts under vacuum, and passed at room temperature. It should cure with water in the air to form elastic silicone rubber.
Silicone sealant
- One-component silicone
- (I) Acidic glass glue 1. Suitable for sealing, plugging, leakproofing and weatherproofing. Both indoor and outdoor are suitable (the indoor effect is better), and the effect of seepage prevention and leakage is remarkable. 2. Bonding various interior decoration of automobiles, including: metal, fabric, organic fabric and plastic. 3. Join the gaskets on the heating and cooling equipment. 4. Install ribs, nameplates and paint with plastic materials without screw holes on the metal surface. 5. Seal the window on the oven door, the flue on the gas appliance, the pipe joint, and the passage door. 6. Provide instant forming leak-proof pads for gearboxes, compressors, and pumps. 7. Seal the ship's warehouse and window. 8. Sealing of glass windows of trailer and truck cabs. 9. Bonding and sealing equipment parts. 10. Form anti-wear coating. 11. Inlay and fill thin metal sheet stacks, duct networks and equipment cases.
- (2) Neutral weather-resistant adhesive is suitable for weather-resistant sealing of various curtain walls. It is particularly recommended for weather-resistant sealing of glass curtain walls, aluminum-plastic panel curtain walls, and stone dry hanging. Seal the joints between glass; 3. Seal the joints on the surface of concrete, cement, masonry, rock, marble, steel, wood, anodized aluminum and painted aluminum. In most cases, no primer is required.
- (3) Silicone structural adhesive is mainly used for structural or non-structural bonding assembly between glass and metal of glass curtain wall. 2. It can connect glass directly to the surface of metal components to form a single assembly component, which meets the design requirements of curtain walls with full or semi-hidden frames. 3. Structural adhesive seal of insulating glass. 3. Restrictions The use of various silicone glass glues will be subject to the following restrictions: 1. It should not be used in places that have been immersed in water for a long time; 2. It is not compatible with materials that will exudate grease, plasticizers or solvents; 3. Wet surface can not be bonded; 4, completely closed can not be cured; 5, the surface of the substrate is not clean or strong. Acid glass adhesive has the following restrictions: Acid silicone glass adhesive will corrode or fail to bond copper, brass (and other copper-containing alloys), magnesium, zinc, electroplated metal (and other zinc-containing alloys), and it is recommended that masonry Do not use acid glass glue on finished articles and iron carbide substrates. Use of this product on materials made of methyl methacrylate, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polyethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene will not give good adhesion. Connection effect and good compatibility. Connections that move more than 25% of the width of the joint are not suitable for use with acid glass glue. Ordinary acid glass glue is not recommended for structural glass. In addition, acid glass glue should not be used where there is abrasion and will cause substantial disadvantages. The surface temperature of the base material of silicone acid glue is not suitable for construction.
